Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.

1) The weekend's biggest LGBT-related film release is undoubtedly Ewan McGregor's new movie Beginners.  Writer/director Mike Mills based the film on the true story of his father (played here by Christopher Plummer) coming out late in life and then learning he has terminal cancer.  Advance buzz on the film has been strong, with particular attention being given to Christopher Plummer's performance as a man exuberantly experiencing a second start in life.  Watch the thoroughly charming trailer below:

2) After the announcement of early talks, it was confirmed yesterday that out actress Jane Lynch would host this year's upcoming Emmy Awards.  Previous host Neil Patrick Harris tweeted his approval of the choice, saying "Great call. Perfect Choice. Can't Wait."  The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air September 18 live on FOX.  Tuxedo-themed tracksuit?

.

3) Elijah Wood will costar in the upcoming feature filmCeleste and Jesse Forever, about a divorcing couple trying to stay friends while getting on with their lives.  Woods will play Celeste's business partner and "saucy gay friend" (his words, not ours) in the film, which is co-written by actress Rashida Jones.

.

4)Transsexual supermodel Lea T's profile continues to rise, having just shot her first swimwear campaign with Blue Man in Rio de Janeiro with famed photographer Terry Richardson.  And if she ever gets tired of modelling, at least she has another career to fall back on; she's been studying veterinary medicine in Milan.

.

5) And finally, the week's big trailer release was the The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo; David Fincher's English-language adaptation of the best-selling "Millennium" trilogy starring Rooney Mara as bisexual anti-hero Lisbeth Salander.  The official US teaser trailer can be seen below, and if you look carefully, you might catch a glimpse of Lisbeth canoodling with a female love interest:
